About the studio

Every card is drawn by hand, then made personal

Each Anxious Creations card begins as a dedicated ink drawing shaped around the sentiment you want to express. The artwork, the written message, and the small decorative details are designed together, so the card reads as one considered keepsake rather than a standard greeting with a line added.

I like a card to have something to notice before you even read the message. The drawing, the words, and the little decorative details all belong together, and that balance is what I work toward on every commission.

How a card is made

Three stages, one finished keepsake

01

Concept sketch

We start with a light pencil sketch that sets the composition and shows where the message will sit within the drawing.

02

Fine ink detailing

The drawing is inked by hand in fine lines, with the wording lettered so it integrates directly into the artwork.

03

Embellishment assembly

Decorative details are added and layered onto the card, then each piece is checked before it is packed.

Materials and finish

Paper, pigment, and the small details that add depth

Cardstock

Quality paper stocks

Each card is printed on a considered paper stock chosen for its weight and warm, natural tone, giving the drawing a substantial base that holds its shape.

Pigment inks

Fine pigment inks

Pigment inks sit cleanly on the paper, keeping fine linework sharp and colors soft, so the artwork stays legible up close.

Decorations

Hand-applied finishes

Small decorative elements are placed by hand, adding dimension and a tactile layer that makes each card feel like a keepsake to hold.
